1. Connect all the requisite wires and power the DVD player on
2. Make sure that the TV is set to the correct video input ( The Yamaha logo is diplayed on the TV screen, if the DVD player is on)
3. Press HOME MENU from the remote control (your television should now show a panel of options to choose from)
4. Scroll down to INITIAL SETTINGS and press ENTER (not return)
5. Scroll down to OPTIONS (dont press ENTER now)
6. Press ON SCREEN on the remote
7. Key in 1470
8. The player powers itself OFF
9. Power it back on and play DVDs from any region

1. Power up
2. Open tray
3. Press 99990 (zero is for region free)
4. Press enter
