Fist you need to download and install the firmware update for the Los Angeles DVD player from www.veseg.com
The hack doesn't work without the firmware update!
After having succesfully updated your firmware,
press 'menu' and then enter 7-4-2-0. You should be now able to see which firmware is on your DVD player, as well as the region code and some other data - in my case it was written that the region code could be configurated, then a comma and the current code (in my case 2):
Region code: Configurable, Region code 2
Now press 9-2-0. When pressing the numbers, you should see a small grey box on right top of the screen, which says '2' and then '0'.
When all this works out, the region code displays:
Region code: Configurable, all
