To make the player region free, do as follows:
1. Press the "power"-button on your remote, to turn the player ON, and wait till the "no disk" is shown in the display.
2. Press "pause/step"
3. Press 3 1 4 1 5 9
4. The display will now show: "code _"
5. Press your choice of region, 0 for region-free.
6. Press "pause/stop" on your remote.
7. Press "power"-button on remote to turn the player off.
