This DVD player is hackable with the 'standard' Philips hack.
Set up the universal remote handset (One-For-All type thing) with code 0539.
With the remote, send the 'RC6' code to the DVD player by pressing the following keys, in order:
'MAGIC' 085
When the dashes appear ('-----------'), enter the following code:
222 222 005 255
Then press 'PLAY' and the machine should reset itself and the display will read "no disc".
The player should now be region free.
