1 Turn on player with no disc inside.
2. Press pause on the remote control.
3. Then key in 314159 (code will be displayed on the dvd)
4. Key in 0 for multi region.
5. Then press pause again.
6. Turn off player and wait 10 seconds, then back on again. i have a region 4 dvd player that now plays region 1 dvds
