(1) Ensure no disc is in the player and turn it on.
(2) Wait until "No Disc" appears on the LED display.
(3) Press Pause on the handset.
(4) Press 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9 (the number PI).
(5) The LED display will now show a "Code --" prompt.
(6) Press the single digit of the region desired (1-6, or 0 for all).
(7) Press Pause on the handset.
(8) Turn the player off and wait 5 seconds.
(9) Turn the player back on and the hack is now applied.
