Region Hack:

Put TV in DVD Mode,
Open DVD Tray,
Push: Setup, Right, Left, Down, Up, Setup, 0, Exit.
(At the left site of your setup menu you see the region code)
Now your DVD is region free,

VCD Hack:

Put TV in DVD Mode,
Open DVD tray
Push: Setup, Right, Left, Down, Up, Setup, 3D, Exit
(At the left upper site of the setup menu you’ll see the vcd support on or off.)
Your DVD now play's also VCD and S-VCD
