All but latest version of firmware should be hackable for multiregion & Macrovision.

Multiregion: type 38883 on remote.
Macrovision Hack: Enter SETUP (via remote) then enter 590419 to enter "loop hole" menu. Cursor to Macrovision & set to OFF.

Later machines can be "backward" flashed to access hacks, then flashed back, whilst retaining hack.

Region free hack:
Press setup, 3, 8,8,8,3, and you will be at a region choice menu!
