Power on the player - not from standby, use the power switch!
Press open/close once
Press Setup
Type 8888
Press Next
You will see now the normal setup Menu, but under Preferences you will find a new entry.
Select the region the player should operate in or select "0"
!!Attention!! The "setup" is before the "8888"!!

Same as the hack as above, however, the code is not under preferences. Instead, after you press next:
Go to version; press the right arrow key to move cursor to the number.
Press the down arrow key until the number is 0.
Exit and play your DVD!

Region free hack:

Open the tray
Press 8, 1, 3, 2 and 8
The region menu will appear, and then press enter until region 9 is selected and press Play
The unit will now be multi region.

VCD playback:

To play Vcds, open the tray, press 0, 0, 0, 1, and press play.

Press 8, 1, 3, 2 and 8
The region menu will appear, and then press enter until region 9 is selected and press Play
The unit will now be multi region.
