Do not have a DVD in the player. Switch it on, press Menu 1,6,7
A notice will appear saying region code. Enter 1 for US, 2 for Europe etc....

To play a US DVD in colour, Press Menu, TV Aspect, change the AUTO selection to the third item in the list.

Play the DVD!!

Using the remote press Menu
Press 1, 6, 7 and Mute
If the above fails to work then you may wish to try the following:

Using the remote press Set-Up
Press Goto general set-up
Press Play
Goto TV display
Press << and >>
