1. Turn on DVD player & TV

2. Press Setup on the remote

3. Navigate to the Preference tab

4. Press keys 2812 one at a time, in that order

5. A box will display on the TV that looks like this:

Version Alba DVD165 v1.3

If the above region code is 0 to begin with, it's region free already - time to test with another region disc

6. If it's any other number (1/3/4/5/6) simply use the up or down [arrow] keys to change the number. To make your DVD165 region-free/multiregion, stop at Region code 0, then press Setup to save & exit

7. You can repeat the steps above at any time to view/change the region code status
