1) Turn the player on.
2) When the Akai logo appears, press Open/Close.
3) Keep the tray open and key in the following: 3 3 0 8.
4) The TV should display XXXX (or ----) in the top left hand corner.
5) Type in the value of 00 for multi-region or 01 for region 1 and so on.
6) Press Open/Close.
7) Turn the player off and back on again.
