1. Eject DVD disc from the unit. Close w/no disc
2. In status of No Disc, press stop button on the remote
3. And press 1, 9, 9, 9 numeric buttons on the remote
4. Then menu shows up including region code
5. Move the cursor to Region code and press enter
6. Then set the region code to "free" by using arrow up/down key on the remote and press enter again.
7. Press setup button on the remote and the menu
screen goes away.
